The timeline provides an overall view of your project, showing subject
and background vignettes.
Each subject image has it's
own duration and may have an associated background image and an
associated animation.
You may reorder images on the timeline by dragging a subject vignette
while in Image Edit Mode
In Movie Mode, the timeline shows additional controls, see

Drag a Subject
vignette handle to change its duration (current duration is shown in the
status bar)

Right click on
a Subject vignette and select
- Set Duration... -
Gives you an alternate way to set duration, you may also
apply to all images.
- Properties... - Shows
information about the current image, an attached animation and the
movie.
In Image Edit Mode only,
you may right click on a Subject vignette and select "Remove". This will
remove the Subject image and the associated background and animation.

Right click
on a Background vignette (in Image Edit
Mode only), and select
- Erase Background:
Removes the selected background
- Extend Background -
Extends the selected background towards the right of the timeline,
until a non-empty background is found.
