Move, Remove a user dot (avoids adding dots by mistake) |
|
This section assumes that you
are familiar with the various
animation initializations
Common features
User dots may be added, moved or removed on the Start Image screen or on
the Current Frame screen.
User dots on the Start Image are displayed as a red square
User dots on the Current Frame are displayed as a green square for the
end position and as a small red square for the start position.
A selected dot (mouse over it) is blinking.
Drag a selected dot to move it.
Double click on a selected dot to remove it or use context menu "Clear
Dot".
Use context menu "Reset Dot" to reset the selected dot to the Start
Image position. |
User dots in full image
rectangle warp mode
In this mode there are no bones and no joints. |
|
User dots may be placed anywhere on the image. A new mesh is computed
each time a new dot is added or if a dot is moved on the Start Image.
Moving a dot on the Current Frame screen will define the end position
and a linear trajectory from start to end.
|

Default linear
trajectory |
Dragging a dot from start to end on the Current Frame screen allows
defining a custom trajectory.
All dots can have their own trajectory.
Clicking the dot again reverts to linear trajectory. |

Custom trajectory |
User dots in Region Contours
User dots may be
placed only inside a region contour. |
Region Contours in warp mode (Auto-add Bone not selected).

If more than one user dot is added, the end result will be the same as
in full image warp mode, except only the portion of the image inside the
selection will be modified. This is very useful for warp features like
blink eyes, smile, etc. |

Warp mode inside a
region |
Region Contours in skeletal animation mode (Auto-add bone
selected)

Bones and joints will be automatically added and the contour will follow
the bone moves.
See Bones/Joints
Adding a
single dot to a region allows moving the entire region. |

Skeletal animation of a
region |
User dots in 3D regions
- requires
 |
|
Unlike 2D, adding a dot will
not compute a new mesh. Therefore there is no warp available on 3D
regions, only skeletal animation.
Dots not connected to a bone have no effect, except that a single dot
moves the entire region.
Auto-add bone should be selected or bones added manually.

Context menu "Set Z..."

Available with all PhotoAnim editions, allows moving a single user dot
or all user dots along the Z axis.
Both Sides unchecked: Sets Z on the Start Image or End
Image.
Both Sides checked: Sets Z on Start Image and End Image.
If Full Region is checked, the entire region will move along the
Z axis.
|
2D usage
Use "Set Z..." to position overlapping regions or part of regions on the
Z axis. |
