Convert to Mesh  [Enter]

Creates a new region mesh. The new region contour matches the selection.
The new region can then be animated separately and have its own time curve.

Typical applications:
  • Blink and/or smile
  • "Plastic surgery": nose, ears, breast enhancement, etc.
  • Caricature

The newly created region is flat with Z=0

Next 3 actions are available only if the selection overlaps the currently selected region
Next 3 actions are not available on 3D images
Split Mesh

Splits the current mesh according to selection. A new region is created which can then be animated separately.

Typical applications:
  • Independent animation of puppet parts.
  • Breaking an object into parts
